Broadband comparison

1 month and rolling broadband contracts

If you might move soon, a long broadband commitment can be awkward. A one month or rolling contract is worth checking, but flexibility needs to be weighed against installation charges and the monthly bill.

Choose your address on the next step to check available offers.

A short minimum term and instant cancellation are different things. Read the notice period before deciding how flexible an offer really is.

Work out how long you actually need the connection

Start with your likely leaving date. If your tenancy ends in four months, compare the cost of four months of service plus setup and cancellation requirements. If you may stay for a year, calculate that longer stay too. A flexible option that looks sensible for a short stopgap may be expensive over twelve months.

Check whether the offer needs a new installation. A connection that will not be ready until near your moving date solves very little, even if the minimum term is short.

Look closely at notice and equipment

Find out when notice can be given, how the final bill is worked out and whether a router must be returned. Keep the return instructions and proof of postage. If you are comparing for a temporary address, ask what happens if you leave earlier than expected.

Do not assume that a package can follow you to your next property. Ask whether moving would require a new minimum term and whether the next address can use the same network.

Be prepared for a smaller choice

The comparison shows one month offers returned for your address; it does not guarantee that one will be available. If no results appear, widen the search and compare the full cost of the shortest suitable alternative. For a temporary mobile connection, check signal and data limits separately.

Questions before you compare

Does a one month contract mean I can leave tomorrow?

Check the provider's notice rules. A short minimum commitment does not remove a notice period or settle any equipment charges automatically.

What if there are no one month results?

The comparison partner may not have a matching offer for your property. Try the broader broadband comparison and check alternative minimum terms before ordering.
